Ice Fishing Open After March 31st!
March 27, 2014 7:41 pm Leave your thoughtsWell folks, it looks like the next ice age is officially here! It’s the end of March and there is about 3 feet of ice in most areas. With the weather we are having it seems like it’s making more every day. Everyone should be aware that with law changes this year there are many great bodies of water that are OPEN TO ICE FISHING AFTER MARCH 31st. Unless otherwise stated in the law book, any lake or pond in southern and eastern counties is open to ice fishing until the ice is gone (you do need to get your ice shacks off by the 1st though). Although many bait shops have thrown in the the towel for the season we know that there is plenty of good fishing left – our bait tanks are fully stocked with smelts, emeralds and shiners of all sizes and we will be open 6am 7 days a week until the ice is gone!
