2025 Jack Traps Youth Ice Fishing Derby

February 22, 2025 – 8AM to 2PM – Cochnewagon Pond, Monmouth

The fourteenth Annual Jack Traps Youth Ice Fishing Derby on Saturday, February 22, 2025 is brought to you by Jack Traps Ice Fishing Outfitters and our local sponsors. The derby is an introduction to Ice Fishing. This derby is open and free for all children twelve and under. Children familiar with ice fishing and those who are not, but are interested, are equally encouraged to participate. Please note this derby is not a competition but an effort to get kids on the ice! The first 400 pre-registered kids will receive an ice fishing prize. Participants are encouraged to bring their own equipment, ready to fish. There will be traps and bait on the ice for kids to fish with if they do not have their own. All participants must be accompanied by a parent or guardian and arrive dressed in very warm clothing, including boots, hats, and mittens.

Upon arrival to the derby please proceed directly to the registration tent on the lake to check in.

This will ensure you receive your ice fishing prize, bait and will be eligible for any drawings that we may be holding. Drawings for any additional prizes will be held at 11 a.m. at the registration tent. You must be present to win!

I hereby give my permission for the above child to whom I attest to be legal guardian, to participate in the Jack Traps Youth Ice Fishing Derby, and agree to remain with my child at the event and not to hold Jack Traps, Inc., or any other sponsors and affiliates liable under any circumstances for happenings during the event. I also give Jack Traps, Inc. the right to use any photography and/or video taken during the event for promotional purposes for future derbies, as we will be recording the day’s activities.
