2013 Jack Traps Youth Derby

Friday, February 22nd was the 4th Annual Jack Traps Youth Ice Fishing Derby on Cochnewagon Lake in Monmouth, Maine. The weather was perfect and turnout was excellent! We estimate there were about 500 people out on the ice, including 220 registered kids. Many of the attendees posed for a group photo in front of the tent at noon. We were also very pleased to give away some amazing prizes in a random drawing of all kids in attendance. A Jack jr. Ultimate Package was given to Evan Smith, 11, of Monmouth and a lifetime fishing license (generously donated by the Maine Department of Inland Fisheries and Wildlife) went to Codie Duguay, 12, of Leeds. For hi-res photos of the event, you can go to the Jack Traps Flickr account. Thanks very much to all of the volunteers and sponsors who helped make the derby a huge success. We couldn’t do it without you!
