Check our bait selection! We’ve got everything you need for this upcoming derby weekend. We’ll be open late on Friday (5pm) and early Saturday (5am), so be sure to come stock up for both the Healthy Smiles for Maine and Fish for a Cure derbies.

a few inches of ice…

Just a quick note that we do have three or four inches of black ice on certain spots of our surrounding Maranacook, Cochnewagon, Annabessacook, and Cobbossee Lakes. It’s looking good for having ice on Opening Day (Saturday, January 1st). Please remember to use extreme caution when going out on the ice this early in the season, and to carry ice safety picks with you!

New Load of Bait
Posted by admin | Tagged baitWe just got in a thousand large and jumbo shiners at the bait shop, just right for those toothy pike. Smelts will be in another week or so; we’re waiting for a good strain.
Jack Traps also has a new line of crappie baits and poles in, along with our regular stock of jig sticks. We also have the stiff rod/reel combos for jigging touge and cusk, in three different sizes.
